Epilepticseizuresandheadacheattacksaretwocommonneurologicphenomenacharacterizedbyparoxysmalalteration ofbrainfunctionsfollowedbycompleterestaurationofthebaselinecondition.Headacheandepilepsyarerelatedin numerousways,andtheyoftenco-occur.Althoughthelinkbetweenthesetwodiseasesisnotcompletelyclear,several clinical,physiopathologicalandtherapeuticfeaturesoverlap.Headacheisreportedinassociationwithepilepticseizures asapre-ictal,ictalorpost-ictalphenomenon.Wepresentthecaseofa40year-oldwomanaffectedbyeyelidmyoclonia with absences(EMA)withahistoryofprolongedheadacheattacks.Avideo-EEGrecordingperformedduringoneof theseepisodesshowedsubcontinuousepilepticactivityconsistingofgeneralizedspike-and-wavedischarges(GSWDs), clinicallyassociatedwithtensiveheadache.OurworkrepresentsoneofthefewwellEEG-documentedcasesofictal epileptic headache in idiopathic generalized epilepsy(IGE).
