The final ATLAS Run 1 measurements of Higgs boson production and couplings in the decay channelH→ZZ→lþl−l0þl0−, wherel,l0¼eorμ, are presented. These measurements were performed usingppcollision data corresponding to integrated luminosities of 4.5 and20.3fb−1at center-of-mass energiesof 7 and 8 TeV, respectively, recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. TheH→ZZ→4lsignal isobserved with a significance of 8.1 standard deviations, with an expectation of 6.2 standard deviations, atmH¼125.36GeV, the combined ATLAS measurement of the Higgs boson mass from theH→γγandH→ZZ→4lchannels. The production rate relative to the Standard Model expectation, the signalstrength, is measured in four different production categories in theH→ZZ→4lchannel. The measuredsignal strength, at this mass, and with all categories combined, is1.44þ0.40−0.33. The signal strength for Higgsboson production in gluon fusion or in association witht ̄torb ̄bpairs is found to be1.7þ0.5−0.4, while the signalstrength for vector-boson fusion combined withWH=ZHassociated production is found to be0.3þ1.6−0.9.
