Despite the increasing interest for the role of emotions on group collective efficacy beliefs (GCE; Bandura, 1997), literature on GCE in task and relationships management is abundant, whereas empirical studies on GCE in emotions management are still scarce, and fail to focus on emotions as a separate domain of group beliefs. The present study aimed at: a) investigating GCE in three different domains of task, relations, and emotion management; b) proposing an expanded approach to emotional contagion (Hatfield, Cacioppo, & Rapson, 1994) by simultaneously considering contagion both absorbed by (received) as well as issued towards others (sent); c) examining support by colleagues (SC) and support by leader (SL), understood as mutual helping behaviors respectively among teammates, and between leader and members (Drach-Zahavy, 2004); and d) testing a multilevel model wherein 1) EC (received and sent) predicts SL and SC, 2) three-factor GCE (task, relations, emotions) has both a direct effect

Abstract
Despite the increasing interest for the role of emotions on group collective efficacy beliefs (GCE; Bandura, 1997), literature on GCE in task and relationships management is abundant, whereas empirical studies on GCE in emotions management are still scarce, and fail to focus on emotions as a separate domain of group beliefs. The present study aimed at: a) investigating GCE in three different domains of task, relations, and emotion management; b) proposing an expanded approach to emotional contagion (Hatfield, Cacioppo, & Rapson, 1994) by simultaneously considering contagion both absorbed by (received) as well as issued towards others (sent); c) examining support by colleagues (SC) and support by leader (SL), understood as mutual helping behaviors respectively among teammates, and between leader and members (Drach-Zahavy, 2004); and d) testing a multilevel model wherein 1) EC (received and sent) predicts SL and SC, 2) three-factor GCE (task, relations, emotions) has both a direct effectI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
