Abstract

A numerical technique based on the coupling of shock fitting and lambda, scheme has been extended to solve unsteady inviscid and viscous flows around complex geometries. This goal has been achieved by a multi-block approach. which allows the shocks to float through the different blocks. The result is that many complex flow fields can be handled while preserving the main features of the lambda scheme, of the shock fitting and of orthogonal grids.
