A novel FDTD subgridding strategy is presented which reduces the presence of spurious reflections at the boundaries between the main and the local grids. Late-time instabilities are avoided by means of a special treatment for time interpolation of zero-crossing data. The proposed procedure is applied to the analysis of printed circuit boards with lossy dielectric and PEC media.

Abstract
A novel FDTD subgridding strategy is presented which reduces the presence of spurious reflections at the boundaries between the main and the local grids. Late-time instabilities are avoided by means of a special treatment for time interpolation of zero-crossing data. The proposed procedure is applied to the analysis of printed circuit boards with lossy dielectric and PEC media.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
