We report the results of a test of two total absorption calorimeters with wavelength shifter read-out. They are now installed in the very forward parts of the UA1 experiment at the proton-antiproton collider at CERN. The response and resolution obtained with electrons and hadrons in the energy range 2-10 GeV are presented. © 1982.

Abstract

We report the results of a test of two total absorption calorimeters with wavelength shifter read-out. They are now installed in the very forward parts of the UA1 experiment at the proton-antiproton collider at CERN. The response and resolution obtained with electrons and hadrons in the energy range 2-10 GeV are presented. © 1982.
