Abstract
The equilibria occurring between sodium and deoxycholate ions have been studied at 25°C and 0.5M N(CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2)4Cl as ionic medium. Electromotive force(e.m.f.) of cells containing sodium and glass electrodes was measured. Two different approaches were followed. Experimental data could be explained in terms of association by assuming the existence of species in terms of association assuming the existence of species NaDC (log = 0.02); Na2DC2 (log = 1.51); Na2DC3 (log = 5.30); Na4DC4 (log = 7.80); NaH8DC)2 (log = 8.15); Na20 H20(DC) 90(log = 341.5); ); Na60 H22(DC) 90(log = 387.5); with the corresponding equilibrium constants. The acid constant of deoxycholic acid (HDC) and its solubility in the selected experimental conditions were determined as well.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
