In this paper we review research findings attesting the empirical value of Organizational Citizenship Behaviors (OCB) in the organizational setting. In particular, we examined: 1. The empirical definition of OCB; 2. The typologies of Organizational Citizenship Behaviors that have been proposed in the literature; 3. Their links with job performance and organizational functioning; 4. Their major antecedents. Finally, a critical discussion of the main findings was proposed.
