How competences of community of practice could be used for sustain organizational innovation? In the activity theory (Engestrom, 2006) change is considered as the collective construction by social actors of new forms of organizational “expansion”. This framework has guided a project dedicated to pedagogical coordinators of the Provincial Federation of Nursery School of Trento. Also through discorse analysis of interaction among organizational actors, we describe strenghts and weaknesess of such a Laboratory for Organizational Change, which could be considered a “succesful” example of the construction, sharing and expansion of practices in a work community.
