The paper presents the results of a research on fans online practices, produced within the discussion forum built close to the Italian and international television series. We have two objective: first, to point out the phenomenon of fandom and its relevance to contemporary audience studies; second, to reflect on the research methods within online environments, in which performativity, productivity and enunciation of the fan become extraordinarily important - even in terms of quantity. This data abundance presents significant advantages for the observation of the practices of the audience: although it can be analyzed with more traditional ethnographic tools, the choice of quantitative methods for the management of a corpus data is constantly growing.

Abstract
The paper presents the results of a research on fans online practices, produced within the discussion forum built close to the Italian and international television series. We have two objective: first, to point out the phenomenon of fandom and its relevance to contemporary audience studies; second, to reflect on the research methods within online environments, in which performativity, productivity and enunciation of the fan become extraordinarily important - even in terms of quantity. This data abundance presents significant advantages for the observation of the practices of the audience: although it can be analyzed with more traditional ethnographic tools, the choice of quantitative methods for the management of a corpus data is constantly growing.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
