Nowadays, many by-products are evaluated and analysed to individuate a probable presence of recycling material. In this way it’s often possible to recovery substances of sure value, instead to start the discarding or to consider it rubbish. The same situation can verify in several wasting parts of natural products as food. It can happen in the case of artichoke, for which, generally, the outer leaves are eliminated and discarded. This kind of matter is often recycled as animal food. In this communication an analytical process for the determination of tocopherols in artichoke leaves is reported. By means of an extraction with apolar solvent and a GC analysis, it’s possible to demonstrate the presence of tocopherols in outer leaves of artichoke.

Abstract
Nowadays, many by-products are evaluated and analysed to individuate a probable presence of recycling material. In this way it’s often possible to recovery substances of sure value, instead to start the discarding or to consider it rubbish. The same situation can verify in several wasting parts of natural products as food. It can happen in the case of artichoke, for which, generally, the outer leaves are eliminated and discarded. This kind of matter is often recycled as animal food. In this communication an analytical process for the determination of tocopherols in artichoke leaves is reported. By means of an extraction with apolar solvent and a GC analysis, it’s possible to demonstrate the presence of tocopherols in outer leaves of artichoke.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
