This article presents an analysis of the contributions offered by the national and international literature about the work values. The aim of the research is the adaptation and validation of an instrument to assess the work values: the Work Values Questionnaire (WVQ), a questionnaire developed by Schwartz’s taxonomy. The sample includes 1834 subjects. Psychometric properties of the WVQ are examined through exploratory and confermatory factor analysis, and reliability is examined by and calculating Cronbach’s alpha. Psychometric properties are presentated and the instrument applications and implications are discussed.
