Systematic techniques for the extraction of SPICE equivalent circuits of high-speed differential interconnects and lumped discontinuities from full-wave electromagnetic field numerical data are revised. Both conductor and dielectric losses are accounted for, along with the effects of dispersion. The main feature of the methods consists of approximating the simulated data in order to generate accurate equivalent circuits in an automatic way.
