Recently, global CO2 emissions from the transport sector increased by more than 250 Mt CO2, reaching nearly 8 Gt CO2, 3% more than the previous year. To meet the Net Zero Emissions scenario by 2050, CO2 emissions from the transport sector need to decrease by more than -3% yearly to 2030. To achieve these reductions, many solutions are available, including, for example, strict regulations and tax incentives, considerable investment in infrastructure, as well as green public procurement. Thus, this study explores this issue further by analysing the case studies of some incentives measures to support green mobility in Italian cities.
