This work presents an archaeological dissemination project that integrates experimental archaeology in two distinct contexts—a retirement home and a high school—highlighting its potential as a dynamic and inclusive communication tool. The initiative was carried out using hands-on experimental protocols for the production of prehistoric pottery, adapted to meet the unique needs of each environment and audience. The experimental sessions demonstrated notable therapeutic and cognitive benefits in the retirement home. The elderly participants experienced improved social interaction, rekindled memories, and a renewed sense of purpose. By directly engaging with prehistoric crafts, they established creative links to the distant past, promoting mental well-being and fostering a sense of fulfilment. In high schools, the project aimed to address a gap in the curriculum, where prehistory is often overlooked in favour of later periods. Through these interactive, hands-on activities, students were able to touch and experience the past directly. The experiential learning sessions provided students with a tangible connection to prehistoric human development, encouraging them to broaden their historical perspectives and develop critical thinking skills. The project highlights the successes and challenges encountered along the way and explores how similar initiatives could be expanded to reach more communities. By tailoring archaeological outreach to different audiences, the project demonstrates how experimental archaeology can serve as a bridge between academic research and public understanding. Ultimately, this initiative offers a pathway towards a more inclusive appreciation of often-overlooked periods of human history, enriching both education and community engagement.
