Understanding the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) when drafting an Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for a student with visual impairment allows for the implementation of truly effective actions to enhance the students functioning in terms of learning and participation. This approach benefits all students, as it represents a cultural and methodological revolution that inclusive education promotes. This paper presents an example of an ICF-based IEP designed for a second-grade primary school student with visual impairment.
