Phytohormones control and coordinate plant growth and development, integration of environmental signals, stress response, and plant-microbe interactions, thus influencing most of agricultural productive traits. They act at low concentration, often far from the place where their biosynthesis occurs, and transport over short and long distances contributes to their distribution in different plant tissues. Specific receptors mediate hormone perception at the cell, and signal transduction results in profound transcriptional, proteomic and metabolite reprogramming. Deep knowledge of the genes involved in hormone biosynthesis, transport and signaling is mainly available for the plant model species Arabidopsis thaliana, while it is mostly neglected in agricultural plant species. Here we present the reconstruction of the metabolic, transport and signal transduction pathways of CKs and IAA in vegetable crops of large agronomical interest within the Asteraceae family, lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and endive (Cichorium endivia).

Abstract
Here we present the reconstruction of the metabolic, transport and signal transduction pathways of CKs and IAA in vegetable crops of large agronomical interest within the Asteraceae family, lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and endive (Cichorium endivia).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
