This PhD research explores into the use of foaming agents in non-structural earthen-based grouts for the conservation of wall paintings and decorated surfaces. It evaluates the potential of additives like egg white, acrylic resin Plextol B500, and Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate (SLES) to improve grout performance. Through meticulous testing, the study assesses the impact of these agents on the grout's working properties, performance after hardening, and durability upon artificial aging. Building on a history of lime-based grout development and acknowledging a gap in research on earthen-based alternatives, this work integrates modern technology and an iterative problem-solving approach. This research contributes to expanding the understanding of earthen-based grout formulation.

Abstract
This research contributes to expanding the understanding of earthen-based grout formulation.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
