This paper belongs to the field of Spanish language lexicogenesis in the field of healthcare, during the international health crisis caused by Coronavirus expansion from March 2020, which needed to be named by new terms and words, known as “Nuevo Lenguaje Covídico” (NLC, Rodríguez-Ponga, 2020). A comparative analysis has been carried out among Spanish and Italian, which lead to understand language processes of word formation adopted in order to respond to linguistic urgency of naming the new reality.
