Coronary CT angiography of nonobese patients can be successfully performed using an iodine concentration as low as 270mgI/mL coupled with low tube voltage (100kV) and adaptive iterative image reconstruction. Compared with standard CTCA protocols, the combination of low iodine concentration, low tube voltage and adaptive statistical iterative image reconstruction allows reducing iodine load and radiation exposure whilst preserving diagnostic image quality. Further investigation on a larger patient sample is warranted to improve statistical power.

Abstract
Coronary CT angiography of nonobese patients can be successfully performed using an iodine concentration as low as 270mgI/mL coupled with low tube voltage (100kV) and adaptive iterative image reconstruction. Compared with standard CTCA protocols, the combination of low iodine concentration, low tube voltage and adaptive statistical iterative image reconstruction allows reducing iodine load and radiation exposure whilst preserving diagnostic image quality. Further investigation on a larger patient sample is warranted to improve statistical power.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
