According to the latest FECYT survey results (2022), television is one of the main source for a no professional audience to inform themselves about science and technology. This research aims to explore the main de-terminologisation processes which an Italian and a Spanish tv programmes (Check up and Saber vivir) use in order to overcome language boundaries in healthcare. The sample consists of twenty-one episodes and a case study methodology will be implemented: it was carried out a descriptive-analytical and a content analysis of the episodes. Results show some common strategies, such as definitions and analogies, but Saber vivir needs to be highlighted for its more informal and informative communication.
