La Resistenza a Fossoli e il ritorno della memoria

One of the most fundamental changes that recently occured in historiography is certainly the transformed relationship between history and “memory”. Indeed, it is now possible to read in a different way some of the crucial pages of the twentieth century. Today the increasing number of ‘universal’ clues that emerge from such inquiries — ranging from the transformation of the Fossoli camp into dulag, to the massacre of the sixtyseven political prisoners which took place at the nearby Cibeno shooting range — allow us to connect the multiple stories of violence that, begin- ning with the Shoah, have characterized the Second World War across Europe.
