The finding of an abdominal mass in young patients, even occasionally, is one of the signs that best evokes a possible malignancy. We describe a case of splenic mesothelial cysts recently observed in an adolescent female 15 years old. The computed tomography with contrast was suggestiive with a diagnosis of lynfangiomatosic lesion. The video laparoscopy has allowed a better definition of the lesion, its relationship with surrounding structures and organs and, consequently, a minimally invasive surgical approach. Morphological and immunohistochemical study of the cyst wall confirmed the suspected diagnosis of splenic mesothelial cysts.

Abstract
The finding of an abdominal mass in young patients, even occasionally, is one of the signs that best evokes a possible malignancy. We describe a case of splenic mesothelial cysts recently observed in an adolescent female 15 years old. The computed tomography with contrast was suggestiive with a diagnosis of lynfangiomatosic lesion. The video laparoscopy has allowed a better definition of the lesion, its relationship with surrounding structures and organs and, consequently, a minimally invasive surgical approach. Morphological and immunohistochemical study of the cyst wall confirmed the suspected diagnosis of splenic mesothelial cysts.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
