Abstract

In Italy, access to the tertiary education system is still restricted, as well as a certain irregularity in the university curriculum appears to be widespread; according to these considerations, the contribution is aimed at reflecting on the orientation actions developed by the University of L’Aquila, within the “Super” Project, to increase students’ knowledge of the characteristics of the Degree Course L19&L39 in Educational and Social Service Sciences and to positively intervene in the construction of profiles and professional foreshadowings by the students involved. In order to strengthen the collaboration between schools, universities and the world of work and to ensure an effective dialogue with teachers and other stakeholders inside and outside the University, the teachers responsible for the initiative have set up a multi-step training project, involving four high schools in Abruzzo. Specifically, the project provided for different moments of orientation, formation and action, fitted in two different settings: the school and the Department of Human Sciences of the University of L’Aquila. Created through a path of presentation of the core contents of the Study Course, illustrating the objectives and practical knowledge related to the professions of educator and social worker and evaluation of the knowledge learned by students, the project has achieved the educational and orientation outcomes illustrated in the article.
