A dialogue between the growing and the modification of the city with the natural and human system has become a common need of many cities and it is central in the case of Seville. The Sevilla-Alcalá-Dos Hermanas triangle is the subject of a study conducted by the University of Seville with the University of Rome-Sapienza; thanks to this collaboration the topic has reached a wider expansion, through a thesis about the urban area and, in particular, about the Mill of San Juan de los Teatinos. In fact, the extension towards the south-east zone of Alcalà de Guadaira, developed during the last two decades, requires an integration solution between the riverbed, with its manufacturing mills system, and the contemporary city, also taking into account the presence of large infrastructure, already built or under construction, which have greatly changed the relations of the territory and the city. Regarding this, the research institutes propose a project where the node generated by the urban and territorial scale is faced directly to the Mill, comparing its conservation state with the values recognized in the heritage of the Guadaira, both of urban architecture and landscape.
