Autoefficacia scolastica, comportamenti aggressivi e conflittuali con i pari e accettazione sociale: Strumenti di rilevazione in un gruppo di preadolescenti e adolescenti Italiani

The present study examines the factor validity of three scales for the evaluation of the academic self-efficacy, aggressive and conflictive behaviors with peers, and social acceptance. Participants were N = 63048 Italian students (n fifth grade = 25752, n sixth grade = 27350, n tenth grade = 9946) of 1406 schools. Multigroup confirmatory factorial analyses provided evidence of the invariance of the three scales across school levels and gender. In all groups, academic self-efficacy was positively related to social acceptance and negatively associated with aggressive and conflictive behaviors with peers. The use of the three scales may help teachers to understand the factors related to academic achievement.
