This is an interesting case report describing a subfoveal choroidal mass in an elderly woman detected by OCT during a routine diabetic evaluation. The lesion is poorly visualized on color fundus photographs, although there is subtle increased pigmentation in the central macula. It is understandable that the authors report the thin lesion was difficult to discern on examination. The lesion has an unusual appearance on SS-OCT. It is hyporeflective, with fairly wellcircumscribed, rounded edges and internally has a nonhomogenous septated appearance.
