Green Building Solution 2019 - Hands On Wood

First-hand ecological knowledge and engineering expertise is bundled in a three-week program in the capital of energy-efficient and green building: Vienna. The UNESCO-awarded international program is geared towards students primarily at the graduate level who study architecture and engineering sciences; however, anyone with a background in a built environment-related field is welcome. There are also students and professionals from facility management, urban planning, landscape architecture and policy development. The GBS Summer University is co-organized by an excellent consortium of over 30 national and international scientific organizations, and is implemented by the OEAD-Housing Office together with the BOKU University and the TU Wien. Upon completion of 175 hours of course work, students receive 7 ECTS-credits. The program is split into two weeks of lectures, workshops, exercises, and excursions, with the third week dedicated to designing a group project incorporating the knowledge gained during the first two weeks.
