Teodolinda, una regina tra eccezione e normalità

The study wants to reconstruct through the sources the role that has been attributed to Teodolinda, queen of the Longobards, in her time and in the historiographical memory, and to investigate if and how much is reflected in the later kingship and more widely in the vision of the woman in the Lombard society, which mainly emerges from the legislation.

Lo studio vuole ricostruire attraverso le fonti il ruolo che è stato attribuito a Teodolinda, regina dei longobardi, al suo tempo e nella memoria storiografica, e indagare se e quanto esso trovi riscontro nella regalità successiva e più ampiamente nella visione della donna nella società longobarda, quale emerge principalmente dalla legislazione.
