INTRODUCTION. The golden standard among different surgical procedures for reconstruction of atrophic alveolar ridges before implant rehabilitation has not yet been demonstrated. Each procedure has pros and cons that must be carefully evaluated while planning treatment. SURGICAL PROTOCOL. The surgical technique illustrated in this work is based on prosthetic-guided implant insertion and simultaneous autologous particulated bone graft stabilized by a titanium mesh. The second surgical step was performed after a healing time of 2 months to apply pro-visional prosthesis in order to reduce bone graft resorption and permit bone healing under the action of occlusal loading. DISCUSSION. This technique seems to reduce treatment time without jeopardizing bone and soft tissue healing.
