We report a case of lymphomatoid contact dermatitis with constitutional karyotype: 46, XY, inv(7) (p15q35). This chromosomal rearrangement involves the regions where the genes codifying for the beta (7p15) and gamma (7q35) chains of the T-cell receptors are located. The importance of cytogenetics, and in particular of the breakpoint analysis, in order to obtain some data useful for an early diagnosis of the T-cell tumors, is stressed.

Abstract
