A quasi-1D model, based on Euler equations is applied for studying longitudinal combustion instability in a single element combustor. The coupling between acoustics and heat release is accounted considering a novel formulation of the response function where the dynamics of fuel injection is included. Results show good agreement with experiments.

Abstract
