The authors describe the results of a research enterprise on adolescents admitted to hospital following accidents. Researchers with a psychoanalytical background gave 50 young people a semi structured interview designed with the aim of highlighting personal and family anamnestical data, the emotional, relational, existential context in which the accident happened as well as the capacity of adolescents to recognise their own responsibility. The comparison between the experimental and control groups brought to light a familial psychosomatic style (as we define it) in the injured adolescents, that is a marked tendency, shared with other members of nuclear family, to undervalue psychological problems and to have frequent accidents and to succumb to somatic pathologies.

Abstract
The authors describe the results of a research enterprise on adolescents admitted to hospital following accidents. Researchers with a psychoanalytical background gave 50 young people a semi structured interview designed with the aim of highlighting personal and family anamnestical data, the emotional, relational, existential context in which the accident happened as well as the capacity of adolescents to recognise their own responsibility. The comparison between the experimental and control groups brought to light a familial psychosomatic style (as we define it) in the injured adolescents, that is a marked tendency, shared with other members of nuclear family, to undervalue psychological problems and to have frequent accidents and to succumb to somatic pathologies.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
