Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are intracellular polyesters, completely biodegradable and with a wide range of thermoplastic/ elastomeric, also depending on monomer composition (usually made by both hydroxybutyric and hydroxyvaleric acid). PHA production by mixed microbial consortia (MMC) was extensively investigated in the lab by using several organic sources, mostly using synthetic substrates or by-products from agro industries, industrial wastewater, municipal waste.

Abstract
Polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA) are intracellular polyesters, completely biodegradable and with a wide range of thermoplastic/ elastomeric, also depending on monomer composition (usually made by both hydroxybutyric and hydroxyvaleric acid). PHA production by mixed microbial consortia (MMC) was extensively investigated in the lab by using several organic sources, mostly using synthetic substrates or by-products from agro industries, industrial wastewater, municipal waste.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
