Sul buon uso di Carl Schmitt in filosofia (politica)

This article deals with the much debated issue of Carl Schmitt's involvement in National Socialism during his four-year Nazi period (1933-1936). By focusing on his post-war writings, the article tries to demonstrate that the case of Carl Schmitt is a prime example of a major methodological error inasmuch as philosophical categories are overused and misapplied to non-philosophical arguments (that is, to statements and opinions with no relevance from a philosophical standpoint, although given by a thinker who is relevant, in other texts and for other reasons, to a wide variety of philosophical issues). By firmly rejecting any form of historical revisionism, the article argues for an idea of philosophy according to which what matters is what is said and not who said it.
