In this way, the aim of the paper is to investigate, through a literature analysis, the connection between innovation and company performance by referring to a whole range of sectors such as entertainment, culture, sports and IT sectors in order to highlight that the private equity investments are associated with a consequent increase in innovation. The method used for the research is based on a qualitative approach. International literature on the topic is examined in order to define the role of private equity in the increase of company innovation. The findings of the paper emphasize how innovation, private equity, social and environmental factors are increasingly connected to the business systems that decide to invest in product and process innovation.
