This paper has set itself the objective of reflecting the importance of the drawing for the knowledge and the enhancement of the city. The graphic work done on the embankments of the Tiber in Rome that presents highlights how a simple but extremely sensitive to suggest memory, and enhance a culture often ignored place to make it lively and popular. The resonances for the city are of various kind: cultural, social, historical, aesthetic and, not least, they are increasingly affecting favorably on tourism. The project for Roma entitled Triumphs and Laments is a contemporary work created by the South African William Kentridge that takes the legend about the foundation of the Eternal City on April 21st, 753 a. C. It's the first and the largest public open space dedicated to contemporary art in Rome; a true multidisciplinary project non profit intended to Piazza Tevere, the stretch of quay of the river that lies between Ponte Sisto and Ponte Mazzini.
