The aim of this work is to optimize the management of the spillways of an urban drainage network with a multi-objective function implemented by the CVX Convex optimization [1, 2]. The goal of the optimization process is to minimize the direct discharge into the Tiber river, to allow optimal operation of the treatment plant, and at the same time, to use the maximum storage capacity of the network. The case study considered is the WWPT (wastewater treatment plant) basin of Rome South.
