The use of DBMS in the archaeological research is today not only accepted and widespread, but also becoming a significant “frontier” field of experimentation, theory and application. The higher potentiality offered by the web based DBMS (in particular by the recent ones, developed through open source applications), to the development of the archaeological methodology is mostly the opportunity to manage the archaeological record in a “network” environment.

Abstract
The use of DBMS in the archaeological research is today not only accepted and widespread, but also becoming a significant “frontier” field of experimentation, theory and application. The higher potentiality offered by the web based DBMS (in particular by the recent ones, developed through open source applications), to the development of the archaeological methodology is mostly the opportunity to manage the archaeological record in a “network” environment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
