Deflectionof400GeV/cprotonsbyashortbentsiliconcrystalwasstudiedattheCERNSPS.Itwasshownthatthedechannelingprobabilityincreaseswhilethedechannelinglengthdecreaseswithanincreaseofincidentanglesofparticlesrelativetothecrystalplanes.Theobservationofthedechannelinglengthreductionprovidesevidenceoftheparticlepopulationincreaseatthetoplevelsoftransverseenergiesinthepotentialwelloftheplanarchannels.
