The topic requires to be examined in relation to the parallel evolution of the “concept of conservation” and especially compared with the conditions of the “plant architectures” that, as a “living material” are, because of their nature, a dynamic reality, Regarding this, the recognition of the “characteristics of identity of the place” and the “signs of change” is inescapable. It 'clear that this is a complex cognitive process that aim at revealing the historical information and accommodate new uses. This means “controlling the modifications”, in order to preserve the 'places' and pass down the 'memory'.
