Three-dimensional reconstruction displaying typical cortical thickness in HI rats as compared with LI rats suggests that the higher the impulsivity the thinner the insula. A correlational analysis between the thickness result from significant voxels in the insula cortex and impulsivity (premature responding rate (%) in the 5-choice serial reaction time task) revealed that those rats having higher rates of premature responding exhibit thinner insular cortices (R2=0.62, P<0.0001).

Abstract
Three-dimensional reconstruction displaying typical cortical thickness in HI rats as compared with LI rats suggests that the higher the impulsivity the thinner the insula. A correlational analysis between the thickness result from significant voxels in the insula cortex and impulsivity (premature responding rate (%) in the 5-choice serial reaction time task) revealed that those rats having higher rates of premature responding exhibit thinner insular cortices (R2=0.62, P<0.0001).File | Dimensione | Formato | |
