Cosi vicina, cosi lontana: visioni fasciste dello sviluppo dell'Albania negli anni quaranta

During the research relating to the history of the Italo-Albanian relations in the economic field, in the papers of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers held in the Central State Archive it has been possible to find some documentation concerning the Undersecretariat for Albanians Affairs. Of particular interest is the publication Albania fascista, containing the report of the Undersecretary, Zenone Benini, directed to Mussolini after his inspection in Albania. The paper, besides the presentation of the main themes of the volume, also provides information about the institutional and regulatory framework of the office.

Nel corso delle ricerche relative alla storia dei rapporti economici italo-albanesi, è stato possibile reperire, nel fondo della Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri dell’Archivio centrale dello Stato, documentazione relativa al Sottosegretariato per gli affari albanesi. Un particolare interesse riveste la pubblicazione Albania fascista (1940), contenente la relazione del sottosegretario Zenone Benin diretta a Mussolini in seguito alla sua ispezione in Albania. Il contributo, oltre a presentare i temi trattati nel volume, fornisce anche informazioni di carattere normativo relativamente alle funzioni istituzionali dell’ufficio.
