Cabezas negras, emperadores amarillos. Una revisión de los estudios comparativos entre el cuneiforme y los caracteres chinos

The aim of this contribution is to determine to what extent it is possible to compare cuneiform to Chinese writing and its adaptations. Comparative linguistics, concerning the respective languages, will be also taken into consideration. In order to accomplish this, we will comment on some of the most important reference works in the specialized literature, analyzing their results sub specie modernitatis. Alternative approaches and new lines of investigation will be eventually sought. Moreover, we will examine briefly the concept of writing, as a tool for the (re-)construction of cultural identity in a parochial rhetoric discourse.
