Omisiones caballerescas. Al margen de don Quijote, hidalgo sin genealogía

In this article we present the different approaches of criticism around the motif of don Quixote, knight «cincuentón y sin genealogía»: from the presence of the elder knight in the chivalric romances to the omission of his lineage as a reflection of Cervantes’ «antideterminismo» and to the studies of the «modelos vivos» in Don Quixote.
