The thesis presents and discusses experimental results on LOX/CH4 and LOx/H2 subcritical ignition and combustion. The results have been obtained by means of optical diagnostics (UV emission, Shadowgraph). Main results are about flame propagation velocities, flame stabilization and flame angles.

Abstract
