In order to identify which residues of FvPG are responsible for the lack of recognition by PvPGIP2, I’ve tried to solve the 3D structure of this FvPG, through X-Ray crystallography analysis and compare the structures of those two PG.The 3D structure of WAK1 is not known: the Ser/Thr kinase domain is a tipical kinase domain with structural and biochemical features well characterized, (Pereira et al., 2011); in the ectodomain, only the two EGF-like domain have homologous protein present in the protein database, while the PBD has no homologous. Another aim of my work was to attempt the determination of the 3D structure of the entire ectodomain of WAK1 (eWAK1= PBD and EGF domains), by X-ray crystallography.
