The Illegal Immigration in Italy: Some Qualitative and Quantitative Aspects

In recent decades, Italy has been affected by strong migration flows that have produced quite a few problems in terms of security and deviance. The work aims to provide, through analysis of official statistics, a qualitative and quantitative picture of the phenomenon of illegal immigration and some related issues, such as trafficking in human beings and their routes, illegal work and kind of criminality in according to geographical origin.

Negli ultimi decenni l'Italia è stata interessata da forti flussi migratori che hanno prodotto non pochi problemi sul piano della sicurezza e della devianza. Il lavoro si propone di offrire, attraverso l'analisi delle statistiche ufficiali, un quadro qualitativo e quantitativo del fenomeno dell'immigrazione illegale e di alcune problematiche connesse, come il traffico di esseri umani e le relative rotte, il lavoro nero e la criminalità secondo la provenienza geografica.
