Over the time, the cultural sphere and several intellectual debates have fostered some reflections on the place of women in society, with the aim to promote gender equality. At the same time, women appear important and essential in the promotion of culture. Gender differences become secondary issues and the main thing is the actual contribution that each person can make. In this sense, the University is the main figure in the conception of partnerships, in the promotion of solidarity and in the appreciation of diversity (also referred to gender) thought to go beyond stereotypes and competitions and overcome the crisis situations which produce the value called cultural solidity. The University has to fulfil the role of avant-garde overtaking of the prejudices on gender disparities, making a real effort to make the most of people’s talents and producing through culture a sense of harmony and social security.

Abstract
Over the time, the cultural sphere and several intellectual debates have fostered some reflections on the place of women in society, with the aim to promote gender equality. At the same time, women appear important and essential in the promotion of culture. Gender differences become secondary issues and the main thing is the actual contribution that each person can make.
