Comportamento dell'ampiezza del polso oculare dopo instillazione di ß-bloccanti The Effectiveness of the amplitude of the ocular pulse after beta-blockers

By using the Ocular Cerebral Vascular Meter (OCVM), which registers the amplitude of the ocular pulse on the paper, the conduct of such a parameter has been evaluated after local administration of several Beta-blockers like Timolol 0,5 %, Betaxolol 0,5 %, Levobunolol 0,5 %, Corteolol 2 %. A significant reduction of such an amplitude was noticed after instillation of Carteolol 2 % and was not indicative after Timoiol 0,5 % and Betaxolol 0,5 %. Only the instillation of Levobunolol 0,5 % has determined a significant increase of the amplitude of the ocular pulse. A possible interference of the vasomotor action on the perfusion of the cìliar-retinic cycle was considered.
